Dr. Jason Epps

Dr. Jason Epps serves as our Senior Pastor and as the President of Teays Valley Christian School and Child Development Center. He and his wife, Roanne, have 4 kids, and he loves to camp, fish, hunt, play golf & guitar and ride his Harley-Davidson Night Train.

An alumnus of Emory University (Atlanta, Georgia), Lee University (Cleveland, TN), Golden Gate Seminary (San Francisco, CA), Midwestern Seminary (Kansas City, MO), the University of Utah (Salt Lake City, UT), and Biola University (Los Angeles, CA), having earned degrees in pastoral ministry, theology, philosophy, and Christian apologetics, Dr. Epps completed his first earned doctorate in 2007 and is currently in the dissertation phase of his second.

Prior to serving as our pastor, Dr. Epps worked in various roles including that of youth pastor (GA), college pastor (TN), missionary (Cairo, Egypt), lead pastor (CA), and campus pastor (UT). Until his honorable discharge from the Army Reserve in April 2014, Jason served as Brigade Chaplain to the 96th Sustainment Brigade at Fort Douglas and was previously an Air Force Chaplain to the 419th Fighter Wing at Hill Air Force Base.

In addition to his full time role at our church, Jason teaches undergraduate and graduate classes in theology, philosophy and ministry as an adjunct professor at several national universities including Liberty University, Indiana Wesleyan University, and A.W. Tozer Theological Seminary. He also speaks at various conferences and workshops on issues related to ministry, philosophy and popular culture.
